Try removing the "resume=" bit of the kernel command line. I need to
look into the problem properly, but this is what I've found to be the
cause... not quite sure why it messes other things up, but it's on my list.

Can you confirm whether this fixes if for you? No need to rebuild initrd
or anything, just edit the command line at the grub prompt.

Thanks Colin, that fixes it for me. I have again a problem with the last kernel and nvidia module, but with the kernel 3.1.4 it's ok.
