Not only the bug policy, but also the triage guide contains a paragraph about
enhancement requests. In the last I read:

"Most of requests will be only solved in cauldron for future Mageia releases
(like installer related requests), then, you should try to set version to
cauldron most of times, except bugs requesting, for example, a package
backport."

So if the reporter hadn't set version to Cauldron, we probably would have done
that ;)

About your concern about boot procedure becoming more vulnerable: I'm cc'ing
some people from the changelog of plymouth. I expect they'll tell us that if
artwork honours this request, that it'll go into a seperate plymouth theme, so
that this feature won't be added to the default plymouth theme.
