If you change anything, make sure you still have a / (root) partition. Every partition is shown to the left as: Device (capacity, mount point, type). Device, is made up of: hard drive, [hard drive name (letter)], partition number (for example, sda5). If you have several partitions, you can choose various different mount points from the drop down menu, such as /, /home and /var. You can even make your own mount points, for instance /video for a partition where you want to store your films, or /Data (or some other name) for your data. For any partitions that you don't need to make use of, you can leave the mount point field blank. If you are not sure what to choose, click Previous to go back and then tick Custom disk partitioning, where, you can click on a partition to see its type and size.
